Terms and Conditions for the Use of the Public Wi-Fi Network of ADASTRA, s.r.o. and Information on the Processing of Personal Data
These terms and conditions for the use of the public Wi-Fi network of ADASTRA, s.r.o. and information on the processing of personal data (hereinafter referred to as „the conditions“) set out the rules and principles for the use of the public wireless Wi-Fi network (as defined below) on the operator’s premises and define the rights and obligations of the operator and users. They also inform users about the processing and protection of personal data.
Users of the wireless Wi-Fi network are obliged to acquaint themselves with these conditions and comply with them. In the event of any violation of these conditions, users may be denied access to the network and may be subject to a claim for damages caused by such violation.
- Definition of Terms for the Purposes of the Conditions
- The term „network“ means the public Wi-Fi network named „AdastraGuest“, intended for wireless access to the internet, which is provided by the operator on the premises at Karolinská 706/3, 186 00 Prague 8 – Karlín;
- The term „operator“ means the provider of the network, i.e., the company ADASTRA, s.r.o., Company ID No.: 26202981, with its registered office at Benešovská 1926/8, 101 00 Prague 10, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague under File No.: C 79377;
- The term „user“ means any natural person who, through any device, uses or intends to use the network;
- The term „GDPR“ means Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27th, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (Text with EEA relevance).
- Use of the Network by the User
- The user is entitled to use the network only in accordance with these conditions, based on having acquainted themselves with them, and undertakes to comply with the obligations set out in these conditions and other generally binding legal regulations.
- Access to the network is conditional, among other things, on becoming familiar with these conditions and expressing consent to their wording.
- Prior to actual connection to the network and access to the internet, user registration is required. This registration includes entering the user’s first name, surname, and telephone number, to which an authorization – access code will be sent. After entering the received code within the network connection process, the network and internet access will then be enabled. The user is obliged to provide complete and truthful required login data – i.e., first name, surname, and telephone number.
- Ensuring the compatibility of the user’s device (e.g., their mobile phone, tablet, or laptop) and its software, as well as its suitability (such as configuration) and functionality for the purpose of using the network, is the sole responsibility of the user.
- The user acknowledges that they bear full responsibility for any damage related to the use of the network caused to the provider or, where applicable, to other users, to the broadest extent permitted by law.
- The user must not visit websites that (I) contain content infringing copyright, (II) are prohibited to minors, particularly websites with pornographic content or those containing or promoting drugs and violence, (III) promote or support extremist views, (IV) promote or support terrorism, (V) promote or support the suppression of fundamental rights and freedoms, (VI) enable any gambling, betting or similar activities, (VII) or are by their nature or purpose similar to any of the above.
- It is further prohibited to abuse the network for distributing/sharing prohibited content, commercial, political, religious or nationalistic propaganda, spam, computer viruses, or intellectual property in violation of legal regulations protecting such rights.
- The user must not engage in any activities, while using the network that would endanger or could endanger or disrupt its functionality. The user must also not engage in any activities that endanger or could endanger or disrupt the use of the network, by other users or disrupt and/or endanger other users’ devices, in particular, but not limited to: (I) overloading the network in any manner, especially by downloading files infringing copyright or downloading files larger than 10 GB, thereby disturbing or threatening the functionality of the network; (II) performing any activity aimed at transmitting or spreading computer viruses; (III) transmitting IP packets with a false address or other falsified sender information; (IV) sending unsolicited messages (spam); (V) spreading alarming messages or false information; (VI) damaging hardware or software through which the network is provided; and (VII) engaging in any activities that are contrary to generally binding legal regulations.
- The user is also not authorized to interfere with the configuration of any network settings.
- Obligations and Liability of the Operator
- The user has no legal entitlement to access the network. The operator is not liable for any outages or reduced quality of the network, nor for any damage that may arise to users in connection with the use of the network. The operator is also not liable for obligations that may arise from the activities of users using the network towards third parties.
- The operator does not provide users with any equipment for the use of the network, nor does it provide technical support to users who use the network through their own devices.
- The operator does not guarantee the availability of the network, its uninterrupted operation, data transmission speed and quality, or the protection of transmitted data from unauthorized third-party access. The operator is also not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of information transmitted via the network.
- The operator is not liable for damage caused by or related to the use of the network, including but not limited to damage, theft, or loss of data, or damage to or destruction of the user’s hardware and/or software. The user acknowledges that all content transmitted via the network must comply with the applicable legal regulations. The operator bears no responsibility for content transmitted via the network.
- The operator reserves the right to restrict or completely block access to the network in the event of a breach of these conditions.
Regulations and use information resources on the internet in accordance with legal and moral standards. Any misuse of data and information may be prosecutable.
Privacy policy
- The controller of personal data is the operator of the network, i.e., the company ADASTRA, s.r.o., Company ID No.: 26202981, with its registered office at Benešovská 1926/8, 101 00 Prague 10, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague under File No.: C 79377. In connection with the processing of personal data, the controller may be contacted by e-mail at: gdprCZ@adastragrp.com, or by post at Karolinská 706/3, 186 00 Prague 8 – Karlín.
- In connection with providing network access, the operator records (processes) the following data for security reasons:
- MAC address and IP address of the user’s connected device;
- connection time and duration;
- The data is processed for the purpose of enabling the connection, securing the network, possible identification of users in connection with a breach of the terms of use, and for the purpose of ensuring the ability to disconnect a device through which the user has violated these conditions.
- The legal basis for processing is the controller’s legitimate interest in network security and related monitoring and potential record-keeping of users utilizing the network, within the meaning of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
- The operator will retain personal data for a period of 10 years from the user’s last connection to the network. This retention period corresponds to the length of the objective statutory limitation period and is justified by the controller’s need to defend itself against potential civil claims related to the user’s connection to the network.
- The user has the right to access their processed personal data, the right to rectify inaccurate personal data, the right to submit a request to the operator for the deletion of personal data, and the right to restrict the processing of personal data. The user is also entitled to object to the processing of personal data. In case of doubts regarding the lawfulness of the processing, the user is further entitled to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is the Office for Personal Data Protection, Pplk. Final Provisions
- These terms and conditions become valid and effective on November 4th, 2025.
- By using the network, the User expresses consent to these terms and confirms that they have thoroughly acquainted themselves with them.
- The Operator reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions.
